AC vs DC: What’s the Difference

AC vs DC: What’s the Difference?

Electricity aaj ke samay mein humari zindagi ka ek important hissa ban gayi hai, aur yeh alag-alag tareeqon se flow karti hai depending on the type of current. Do main types of electric current hain: Alternating Current (AC) aur Direct Current (DC). Chaliye in dono ke beech ke differences ko samajhte hain:

Alternating Current (AC)

Alternating Current (AC) mein electricity ka flow time-to-time direction change karta hai. Yeh woh type of current hai jo humare gharon aur industries mein commonly use hota hai.

  • Current ka flow regular intervals pe reverse hota hai.
  • AC voltage long distances pe efficiently transmit hota hai.
  • Household appliances jaise fans, lights, refrigerators mein use hota hai.
  • Long distances pe electricity transmit karne ke liye jyada efficient hai.

Direct Current (DC)

Direct Current (DC) mein electricity ek hi direction mein flow karti hai. Yeh current batteries, solar cells aur kai electronic devices mein use hota hai.

  • Current ek direction mein flow karta hai, negative terminal se positive terminal tak.
  • Devices jaise batteries, mobile phones, aur flashlights mein use hota hai.
  • DC chhote appliances aur circuits mein zyada efficient hai.
  • Low-voltage applications ke liye use hota hai.

Key Differences:

Feature AC DC
Direction of Flow Alternates One-way
Transmission Efficient over long distances Efficient over short distances
Used In Household appliances, power grids Batteries, electronics, solar cells

Conclusion:

Dono, AC aur DC, apne-apne unique applications aur advantages ke saath aate hain. AC power distribution ke liye ideal hai, jabki DC small appliances aur electronics mein use hota hai. In dono ke beech ka difference samajhna zaroori hai, taki hum sahi type of current ka use kar sakein.
